Seoul Wholesale Markets

Today our lovely Buyer – Sura, shares with us her buying trip to a large wholesale market in Seoul! Hello from Seoul! It’s been a long time since my last post. I have been busy the past few weeks working on our new fashion business, looking for a new job and helping out with a friend’s business as well! It’s all been been so exciting!!! Last week I went with my friend to a huge wholesale market called DongDaemun, located in Seoul. There were so many stores selling both wholesale and retail. However, the majority were wholesale and only traded late at night.  The market is always filled with people – buyers, retailers, tourists and general customers from all over. I noticed recently that more Chinese buyers have come over to source Korean clothing and products. As time went on, people were getting busier and full of energy. I totally forgot the time as I walked around the market, and only felt hungry and tired when I saw that it was nearly 4:30am! So we decided to eat street food for …

DAILY LOOK: DENIM FOR AUTUMN

Here in Korea, Autumn has already arrived! Everywhere you look people are wearing denim jeans and knits now. Actually, I tried to get new jeans several times before, but couldn’t find one which really strikes me. But, at last, I could finish this long search for jeans at ZARA. I bought a pair of washed blue jeans – feels flexible and comfortable but still has a sturdy texture. Denim can be a great base for any look, so it might look different depending on what you are layering.         In that day I wore a black sweater and threw on a black slip on. Even though the look of everything seemed fine, I still felt something great was missing because of accessories. So when I was at home, I tried styling the jeans with a black beaded necklace  and white sweater.   (outfit details: White sweater / Jeans – ZARA, Black Slip on – online, necklace – SHE’S MISS (Korean womenswear brand)) Maybe putting on some heels and wearing a few more accessories will make it so chic!! …

ORGANIC BRUNCH AT cafe ABLE

Greetings from Seoul! Time Flies!!!! This Friday, the last day of October, I went out for Brunch with my uni friend. We decided to head to Cafe ABLE, a well-known Organic Brunch cafe in Garosu-gil – a popular street in Seoul lined with cafes, restaurants and fashion shops. Of course, we enjoyed a bit of shopping before brunch. ABLE offers an extensive brunch and dessert menu under the slogan, “Farm To Table, Fresh To Go”. As we got there early and the place is big enough to accommodate many people, we were seated right away. For myself, I ordered the Frittata with sour cream and two thin slices of whole wheat bread. The beautiful frittata with fresh veggies and packed full of protein was a perfect option for a nutritious brunch. What I also liked about this menu was the Blue Berry Jam – whole blue berries floating in syrup to accompany the whole wheat bread. My Friend ordered the Shrimp Cream Pasta and the Green grape juice. As the cafe is famous for additive-free juice, the juice we ordered was very fresh and …
